Changing 1940 pickup headlights 1939

Can anybody explain the process of changing my 1940 PU headlights over to a 1939 car style?

'40's are seal beam,'39's are bulbs with reflectors.No doubt you will have to find entire assy's or parts there of incl the bulb socket wiring to do this conversion.that's if you want them as original.If not here is a link to use Halogen seal beams .

I have thought about doing this in the past with my 41 pickup. Best I can tell is you would need the entire 39 assembly and it would just be a bolt in. If I could get 6 volt halogen bulbs for the 39 sockets and a duel filament amber bulb for parks and turns I would go for it. Other wise I lose my turn signals and those old bulbs with the reflector set ups were terrible to drive with. I had a 38 Lincoln with the same setup as well as a 36 Dodge pickup and I can say with conviction, sealed beams were a vast improvement. Tim
