Anyone know anything about a company called Champ-Items inc or their repair kits. I broke the shaft for my window regulator and came across these window regulator repair kits on ebay. I bought two of them(just in case) but haven't tried it yet, it appears pretty straightforward. The parts come in a cardboard can with a metal top and appear fairly old. Has anyone tried these or know how old they might be?
 
I found 3 on ebay and bought 2 but when I got the package there were 3. I emailed the guy and he said since there was only one left he sent it as a bonus. You don't find many people like that anymore.
 
Champ-Items made lots of different small repair parts, many if not all came packed in those cans. The common tie between all their products was that they were all filling a need that Ford hadn't addressed.

I got 1 can for sale if you want to make a set of 4. ken ct.:) LOL
 
Update on my window regulator repair. I finally got it done, it did take some fabrication though because my old shaft had a spring inside the cup and the new one didn't and the new one was a tiny bit bigger in diameter. I ended up grinding a little off the shaft and trying it without a spring and believe it or not it works fine. I'm not sure why they were different but it worked.
