Center pedals and steering for 1923 Model T

I have been searching for hours for any information on how they centered the pedals and steering columns for the boat tail speedster racers back in the day. Any info and or pictures would be greatly appreciated...
Sorry if it's been posted already....
I'm not seeing it...
Headache and frustration setting in.
 
Ever drive a FIAT 124??? The steering wheel is about 3" off center... makes it easy to lean into a curve one way.... Hmm. ws
