ccpu interior panel

OK , I have wracked my brain and can't come up with a description of the cardboard like material used in the cab of '28 ccpu. It is around the rear window and above the windshield. I need to replace it.

It can be purchased from a shop that does auto upholstery. It needs to be covered with vinyl like your seat has. Use contact cement to attach it. There should not be cardboard around the rear window of a 28 ccpu.

Contact LeBaron Bonney and ask them to send you a sample of the vinyl material they use. Compare it to what you have in the cab now and see if it is a close match. If it is, they will sell you ant of the panels you need. Do you have the pieces over the door? By the way there is no panel around the rear window. Ed Saniewski.

If no ccpu had this material, I think that I have the exception. I took pics below and it seems to be original to the truck. Perhaps because it was a very early model.

JackA,
I think a previous owner took poetic license to the back panel of your truck. They probably did it to try to cut down on possible noise with just the sheetmemtal. I am almost 100% sure Ford never use any material on the inside of the back panel. Should be sheetmetal.
