I am unable to determine why the shut off valve will not stop the flow of fuel inside the carburetor.
I had the problem when I first installed the Zenieth carburetor and after not being able to resolve the problem I purchased and installed a new valve. I checked the float and it is free of liquid (it floats ).
I bought a sight gage to check the fuel level. When I first turn the shutoff valve at the tank on to allow the flow of fuel the fuel level in the carburetor is about 5/8 inch below the gasket. After about sixty seconds the fuel level rises to the gasket level and fuel begins leaking from the carburetor.
The carburetor is clean as well as the fuel being supplied.
Any help in resolving the problem would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bob
