As happens too often, I have a part left over from on of my projects. I have rebuilt a NH Holley and have a spiral spring about an inch long and the diameter of a pencil, that does not know where it belongs. I have brought up a lot of cross sections but see no such spring.
 
The only spring I have on my NH carb is the choke lever and shaft return spring. It has a plain end and a J shaped end. MAC's catalog shows it very well. Good luck.
 
I think someone drops parts in my project boxes. The is a place for that type of pervert.
Thanks for the responses, I will remount the carb now.
