Carburetor Identification

Good morning,

I’m curious if anyone here can identify this carburetor I have on my 1931 Fordoor Briggs model a. Though it is not all original. I was thinking about buying a rebuild kit from a parts supplier and have no idea where to start or if I should get a different carb? Any advice would be welcomed.

Thank you,

Jeremy

I believe you’re right…

Renner's Corner also has info of Marvel Schebler/Johnson/Allstate on their website. Scroll the Videos. https://www.rennerscorner.com/slide-show--info.html Dave also has some 'gently used' Marvel parts if needed. Ensure you do not over tighten the screws, you will warp the top.

Wheeler Schebler Single Barrel Up Draft Carburetor Patent 1536043

They used these on a lot of tractors too.

I don't think that is the same model as the OP has...

Many consider the Marvel a, well, marvel. Or the best carburetor they have ever used and prefer it over alternatives or the original Zenith.

I.e. not to be dismissed as not worthy.

Did y'all know that Bert Pierce, founder of the Marvel Carburetor Company, "invented" Marvel Mystery Oil to keep his Marvel Carburetors clean?
