Took the old carb apart and cleaning it up. I want to drill out the brass plugs to clean the passage's. What size drill bit's are needed for the four plugs???? I know there are different sizes. Thanks to all that repley, Dennis/CT
Order you new plugs and then you will know the correct drill bits, when you drill them out you will start with a smaller bit and then strep up to a bigger size until the plug spins out and it will spin out easy once you have a big enough drill size.
I think I remember the plugs are larger than the passages so they only go in a little distance, and expand to seal the passage. What I'm trying to say is be careful when you drill out the plugs, so you don't destroy the shoulder. bob
Also, don't use a drill on the idle jet circuit. If you chase the passage with a drill bit do it by hand only. If you damage the keyhole in the carb throat for the idle circuit you won't repair it very easily. Bob
