Car cover question

I, like Doug, use flannel king size bed sheets. Like he says, they are very easy to remove and put back on. Two king size sheets will cover most of a model A. I get the sheet at Goodwill or places like that for $5 or $7 each. Some of the sheet colors are not the prettiest, but the cars don't seem to mind.

if you really have a nice show quality paint job and care about scratches cover it with something thats as soft as possible inside, to minimize issues as much as possible.. a bed sheet is not on my list period

Car covers are a pain in the A **! I can dust my car in 7 minutes, with my CALIFORNIA CAR DUSTER. I also have one for dusting my FURNITURE.

The best solution for me is to not use car covers. If I want the cars to remain the cleanest, I leave them in my enclosed trailer. they seem to remain the cleanest there. I agree with Bill W. They are a pain to use whereas dusting a car is quick.

the california duster also scratches paint
rename "california car scratcher"
I respect your opinion, Mitch, but I've NEVER experienced scratching on the BLACK truck or the BLACK PHANTOM, Minerva & I'm genuinely fussy about my BLACK cars. Apparently the Caranuba wax is hard & doesn't scratch easily. Six months after buying the truck, in 2004, I had a light cut & polish done, by Mr. BLACK, finished off with CARANUBA wax. That SAME wax job still sheds WATER, like a DUCKS' A**:D Believe it or not, when I accidentally get a fingernail scratch in the CARANUBA, I take a slightly damp Micro Fiber towel, wrap it over my forefinger & rub ACROSS the scratch until my finger gets HOT & it apparently re-activates the wax & the scratch DISAPPEARS!
That Old Car detailer, Mr. BLACK, taught me that on any DARK color or BLACK, whatever you're doing, washing, drying, polishing, applying wax, wiping it off, dusting, ALWAYS go with the body lines & NEVER go in them dad blamed CIRCLES! My BLACK always looks good, even under Flourescent lights. It is a good idea to blow your car off before dusting with ANYTHING. I even blow my truck off before I wash it & I wash under the fender flares with a crappy "throw away" rag, FIRST.
Many painters in town, when doing a HIGH$$$$$$ BLACK paint job, hire Mr. BLACK, to finish it off!!!!!!
