Why did you want to take the head off in the first place? I still wouldn't pull the studs out unless you really need to.

Per no. 19, because it came off, 2nd or 3rd place may be more appropriate ...... you decide ..... just hope this guy is not disappointed for not receiving first place.

I finally got it off. The vent was screwed on. The hole that it was in is not perfectly round so it obviously was added aftermarket. The heat valve is iron. Now to work on the studs!View attachment 281687
