Finished my waterpump rebuild and retired my old 2 blade fan. Can't believe it, what a differance it made, quieter, smooooother. Ran the original 2 blade 7k miles with no problem, but felt it was on borrowed time. Used a ss shaft with the torrington bearing and solid bushing and pinned the impeller. I'm set for some serrious miles now :D Should have done it sooner.

johnsor, After reading all on the Barn, the way to go was with Synder's aluminum 2 blade. I checked the fit on the shaft with layout dye as the taper of the shaft seemed slightly different, it made good contact. I used a collar and set end play at .004 , pulley aligment is good. I also used a 1/4" longer shaft and set shaft to head clearance without a gasket( impeller clearance too) checked with dye again. Pinned it. and installed wp with a gasket. I shouldn't have any fan/ wp issues for a long time. Had the car out last night for a drive and I'm still amazed at the difference it made.
