Canadian Ford Serial Number

I am trying to decode the Serial (VIN) number of my 1956 Ford. It was built in Oakville Ontario.

Number reads: 47OAK56191753

Any help would be appreciated.

The information above is for the data plates from 1955-1959.

The codes do tell ONLY if its a 6 or 8 cyl for Meteor,Ford,and Edsels and not the cubic inchs.

EXCEPT there is a code listed for the Mercury and Monarch 368 engine.

Those Canadians hold there cards tightly.
