Camber

Did new kingpins and got new tires then adjusted toe in. I realized that the driver side front tire looks to be at 0 degrees while the passenger side is about 2 degrees positive. Axle found to be bent. I’m going to a heavy truck alignment shop to have the axle straightened. My question is should I shoot for 1 degrees of positive camber on each side so the tires wear better? 2 to 2 1/2 degrees seems like a lot for these more modern roads. Have any of you guys done this? Thanks

What ever you do, make it the same on both sides. The camber puts the center of the tread at the road (contact patch) in line with the king pin. Otherwise braking on the front wheels would pull to one side or the other depending on the relative traction of the tires. Go with the specification.

After assembly check the caster, which is supposed to be 5 degrees. I could not find the specification for the camber. Toe-in should be the last thing to be adjusted.
