Calling all charging system guru's!

Kevin, you posted your update while I was typing! Glad to hear we got your car converted back to 6v again! Thanks for your confidence in us, and as for thanking me, I may drop in on you one day for a beer. My son lives near you and does his shopping in Joplin, so you never know, I might be there at some point in the future also.

The story doesn't end with what you've done so far. Be sure to get back to us with anything new that pops up, and hopefully we'll be as successful as we were with this issue.
 
Thank you for sticking with it and finding the problem. I know it must be frustrating getting so many suggestions. In the end, you must weed through them and decide on a course of action.

I just appreciate all you guys for helping. I know it's like trying to diagnose something over the phone, but I appreciate it a lot!!

Last night I told myself, it's a simple system and there isn't that many things to look at so just do one at a time and eliminate.

I've owned old cars and pick ups for the past 20 years and they have taught me a lot. I have always owned old Chevy's and this is my first old Ford.

I just have to learn the Ford and get used to working on it. My dad passed away at age 68, six years ago and I really miss him. He was a Ford man and loved these old Flathead Fords.

I always wanted to get an old Ford and restore it for him but never got the chance, so I bought this car mainly because I know my dad would have liked it.
