Calif. bumpers one piece correct?

I had a 55 Chevy that had Calif bumpes that were one piece not 3 sections like most. Now my 50 Ford has one piece and the car came from Calif. Is that the law there???Are all 50 Fords one piece?

In 60 years in Calif, I have never seen a three piece bumper on a 55 Chevy or a 50 Ford.

I bought a new 55 Chevy Nomad in early 55 and it had and still dose a THREE PIECE frond bumper, my oldish son has the car and is restoring it, the bumper will be taken apart and sent to chrome, ( we have talked about it.) I am quite sure .....OLD...BILL

Just about all Fords were one piece.Never did know why Chevy thought a 3 piece bumper was a good idea.

The 49-51 Ford wagons had 3-piece rear bumpers. Other than that, I don't know of any other postwar old Fords that did.....Bob L
