CAD Model of Model A Engine

Very impressive, great job. I went from ink and linen drawings to autocad during my working days but never made it to solid works before retiring. Technology sure is advancing, now I really feel old.

WOW!! Outstanding piece of work. This must have taken many hours, even for all of the parts, much less the assembly. You have to be at the top of the pile of Solidworks users. Congrats. What is your profession??

Would you be willing to share/sell the files?

I'm building a custom supercharger setup for my engine and it would be super helpful to have an accurate model. I'm running Solidworks 2018.

Amazing!
High res version of this drawing is available from the Benson

@nomadpsd

While I was searching for Model A backup lights your post showed up (Benson told about doing backups at his job).

Yes, I know and understand you started this thread 6 years ago. I'm posting this to express my amazement about what you and others like you have accomplished. Us old geezers can't even comprehend what you're doing much less how you do it.

So if you see this just take it as a pat on your back.

Thank You for the recognition. It makes all of the hours put into it worth it.

I just got finished printing the block that nomadpsd has put on here. A couple of glitches with the file but was able to work around them. Since printing the block I have modeled the head, valve cover and flywheel housing. Over the past year I modeled the A trans and printed it in 1/3 scale. (fully functional) Over the next couple of months I hope to have all the other parts modeled and printed.

Just PLA+ and tough PLA . As far as brands I use Creality and ESun. Printer is Bambu A1 and Ender 3 V3 KE. I'm a machinist so the small metal things I make. Screws are mostly Metric. When I make the models the holes are made so that they can be threaded the appropriate size for the scale.

That turned out beautiful Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into doing that it would be nice to print 1 of those myself I do have a 3D printer a creality version but I've yet to use it!!!
