C6 shifter bracket removal ?

I am looking at a 72 C6 trans and was trying to determine how to remove the stock trans shifter bracket for a floor shifter. I know the kick down portion is connected to the inside of the trans, but does that bracket slide off or does it require the removal of the pan as well? I got the nut off easy enough, but cannot seem to get the bracket for shifting to budge.

Getting closer :) Mine has the shifter lever built into where the kick down lever is, I thought it would slide off with the kick down lever off, but I they are pretty tight together. Chances are I will try and use the bracket on the trans and another one depending on clearance. I have a cable kick down to replace the lever style, I have no clearance room for that kick down rod that Ford used.

If you are talking about what I think you are, the pan must be removed, and the whole thing comes off the valve body, and pulls out.

I expected that was the case, even in the videos for Lokar, they always skip that step.

Thanks for the verification :)

That quest is over!
