I seem to be getting a really loud and annoying buzzing/vibration noise emanating from the spark lever on the steering column. The noise seems to happen only at a certain speed of around 45 MPH. I assume the rod is vibrating within the column with the engine harmonics at that speed. When it buzzes and I lift the lever away from the quadrant it stops, only to resume when I let go. I thought of cramming a piece of cardboard between the lever and the quadrant but I do need to move the lever occasionally to advance the spark for high speed runs. Any thoughts about how to hush that buzzing sound?
