Buying Used Battery

[BlueSunoco]

Not to hijack the thread but I just got my 7th FREE battery from J.C. Penny. I bought my '70 VW van new and still have it. In 1974 I bought the Lifetime guaranty battery from J.C.P. and they still honor it!! Only now I have to go Firestone to get the battery as J.C.P quit selling auto parts years ago and set up the guaranty with them. Wish I had bought one for the Model A.

Reminds me of that Midas muffler commercial from about 1973 where the oldster drives in in his '30 Model A Coupe for a free exhaust because he had the life time warranty. The shop owner says in desparation " Mr. (forgot name) aren't you ever going to SELL this car?" The owner quips "I'd never sell Annabelle. See ya again boys."

Loved that one plus the look alike Laurel and Hardy team with the Model T selling windshield wipers in about 1973 too

ALSO the Ford commercial for the 1972 Pintos, where they say 'When you get back to basics you get back to Ford" showed a Model T, 1929 Model A Station Wagon, and a '36 three window coupe!!
