Buying through Mac's

I'm sure this is a really silly question. I'm ready to order all my door, window and glass parts from Mac's. How has your dealings been with them as far as customer service and in stock items?
 
I don't use them! But lots of people do and are happy. I had a bad cust. service isuue and their shipping costs are too high. My 2 cents
 
I have ordered from them before. shipping is a little high and it takes longer than it should to show up at the house. Almost like they dont process the order for a couple of days so you dont see it for about a week or longer.
 
They are alright, just alright and no better than that. Tech guys are hit and miss, customer service is so-so.
They always have lots in stock and parts have been good.
 
Sometimes they are good, sometimes not so good.. Some of their techs are very 'uppity' and not helpful.. As the others mentioned, their service is slow..
 
I'd skip them and go with Bratton's. You'll skip some Chinese manufacturing. Hit and miss with them. Bratton's will be carrying only the best of the manufacturers.
 
As I Georgia "A" owner I'll suggest Mikes. Really great group of people who care about quality and they are very helpful and appreciate your business. Also check out Mike's wounded warrior project! They are raffling off an "A" to support the families of injured troops.

Bert's charges you exactly what it costs them to ship and no more. A good company to deal with.
 
Prices and shipping a little high, slow shipping 3 days before shipment, backorders on last three orders. Last resort for me.
 
I find their shipping costs high. I use them if I am really hard up for a part, which is very rare.They seem to put in a box what they should be putting in an envelope and sending to you,which drives up the shipping costs.
 
I recently dropped Mac's due to their shipping costs being too high and twice this year I recieved parts that were so off spec. that it was embarrassing. Tech service guys not that good either.
 
I don't like to bad mouth anyone. I am sure that Mac's is a good company, but their shipping procedure sucks. I have ordered from them several times
I only order parts that I am in no hurry for.
I swear that they wait for a board meeting to decide if and when to ship the order. And then the shipping coast is pretty high.

How true! But we have a very good glass company here locally.I never order glass.

And,My experience with macs was horrible.Lots of back orders for indefinete time.Bad quality other times. They never will get any of my money! Snyders,brattons,langs and others talked about here are much better choices
 
I WON'T use them anymore. Horrible customer service. Shipping costs are high too, but it's the lack of service that turned me off of them. I use Snyders, great all the way!
