I've tried this before but I thought I would try it again. I am in need of an original seat for my 1947 Ford Business Coupe. This is a bench seat that is hinged at the top back. The bottom of the back flips up toward the steering wheel which allows access underneath the package tray. A seat from a 1942-1948 will fit. I greatly appreciate any replies. Thanks Folks!

I have a bench seat with both seat backs folding down ,which I believe came from a 38 2 door, do not know if this might work. Thanks. Lloyd 715-257-7946

Thanks for trying Lloyd but that will not work. The seat back is solid and the back flips up from the bottom rather than the back being split and flipping down toward the front. The '38 would also be too narrow. I appreciate your reply though...

I have a very nice 47 Ford front and rear seat. Can email pics if you want. The only problem is shipping. Not interested in going to Greyhound or truck dock.If you want pics send an email to me.Jerry

The business coupe does not have a rear seat so your seats will not work for a correct restoration. Thanks for asking though.

hi, i think i havewhat you need . dend me your email and i will send photos . the olny thig i lirned abut shipping seats is ti remove all the materal from the seats to save weight. a bussiness coupe has the smaller doors right? thanks joe

Are you sure a 48 business coupe has a fold up from the top seat?I have seen them on 35&36s but none after that.Just checking, dont want to start a thread on this, but i do have a really solid almost NOS folding seat for coupe or tudor if it helps.

Yes,
I am positive the seat I need is exactly as I had previously described above. Not many are left. Most of those cars were street rodded years ago. Mine was not molested and I am making it a restoration. Very few are all original today.
Thanks for asking though.
Joe
