Burtz blocks sold

Just curious. Anyone know approximate number of Burtz Blocks sold to date. I think my kit was around #10. Whatever it is, thank-you Terry for breathing new life into so many A’s. Dave Gerold of Durable Performance built mine from the first shipment of block kits he received. I may stand corrected on that. Anyhow, Dave is a great guy and knowledgeable engine builder. :)

Last spring at the MAFCA Central Califoria Regional Group roundup Terry said that there had been about 1000 block kits sold. He had no way of knowing how many had been built. Perhaps a direct inquiry to him or John Lampl (his business partner at Allied Classic) would be in order to find out an answer, see burtzblock.com.

Thanks for the replies. The ballpark answers were all I was looking for. Wish I could afford to build another one! Of course, that would mean purchasing another car. :)

I have #1140. I put 900 miles on it in the last month. Mine has the 6.5 C. R. head, and the Burtz Touring Camshaft. I also installed an FS Ignition top plate with the Manual A Distributor. Model B Carburetor. Plus the 26.6 % Mitchell. Runs strong.

NICE! If you want more performance, install a bigger carb. The Burtz cam is a great touring cam.
