Bumper Guard Identification

I have a set of bumper guards that I do not know the year/model they fit. I believe they may be for a 1938 Deluxe model, but they weren’t shown in an old Bob Drake catalog that I have. The mounting holes are above the center of the bumper. Please let me know what year and model they fit.

I would side with you on 38 Deluxe. Not able to see mounting holes in their pictures in the Francis & DeAngilis book but all the rest looks 38 deluxe

IRRC, 1937 (by itself) and 1938/1939Std bumpers have the same cross section, however they were mounted upside down from each other. The respective guards are essentially the same except for the cutout for the bumper being inverted.


I compared to repros I have on hand and those are 1938 (39Std)
