Bumper gaurd ID?

Not much to go on. This came with other Ford items , might be any other make.
The mount hole in the side probably for a cross bar?
Nice guard , needs a different owner that needs it

I asked a knowledgable friend who owns an imported 1947 Ford Tudor Sedan if he could identify them, and this was his reply:- "a tough one - I did have a set of these, but could never identify them with any surety - they do look '47/48 Ford but are not factory installed to my knowledge - they could be 'aftermarket' " So the mystery continues.
 
47/48 seems to be a match , but it has a square hole for a " Stove" bolt on the inside,
probably for a cross bar. I have photo posted , but doesn't show well.
Possibly an accessory piece? Maybe they all have the hole? , I can't tell by photos
I find. I assume front?
I'll put it in the classified section and see what happens

Hi, guards are after market for 47-48,there is a, bar that goes between the guards.They are for the front,the late Bob McCoppin, did a, article in the V-8 times back in the 90's on the difference between 47-48, there was a, picture of the guards on the car in that article.( I,can't find the article). Mike

I suspected a much when I couldn't find a matching photo.
Maybe someone has the rest and they need this one.
