Bubba's 1 for 2 special

Hi Bubba,

I just sent you two "crabs" for the special, and a Chevy dist for one of my later engines. There is a note in the box asking about the price of the chevy points type conversion, which was just answered above.

And how can you tell if your front cover (late one) is a Ford or Merc?

Ralph

P.S. Do the crabs taste better with your special Hot Sauce?

The merc cover has a secgtion to support the lower end of the shaft. Our units will fit both as we make the extension about half the orginal length .

Yep the crabs are best with some diced spam, hot sauce and a moon pie..

I just did some grass mowing for about 3 hours with my 8n tractor for the second time. Man, it really runs good with the Bubba rebuilt distributor. Thanks!!

Depends om which end you are on i guess. I give YOU 1 when you give me TWO,,,:D

OK, I'm still confused. Considering you are asking for cores on another post, are you saying that if someone gives you two used distributors that you'll return one refurbished for free?

Mike

Mike ,

I am sorry i thought you were just making light of the phrase.

Yes i need cores and they have been getting harder to get so i offered the deal of 1 for 2.
The customer ( you) send me two cores and i will rebuild one with all new stuff ( no cap or rotor) and return to you ( like the pic in the first post) ready to run. You get a sweet deal on a ready to run unit and i gain another core .
Been a pretty successful promotion.......over 100 units in the first three weeks. Send em in we will get them done.....

Just got my crab back yesterday, along with a chevy conversion for the late model flathead. Beautiful work Bubba, now I better get it in gear and finish putting my motors together, If these distributors work as good as they look, that flatheads going to run sweet!

Hey Bubba i see yu use allen screws on the point hold down, ive been using them for yrs, much easier. ken ct.

Bubba, Just saw the post about a mallory dual point and I have a tach drive mallory (?)for a chevy. I don't really need the tach drive just would like to get a conversion for the 8CM in my 41 truck, what is the procedure that needs to be done to get a conversion? What chevy distributor do I need to send you and how does it fasten into the block?

"and how does it fasten into the block?[/QUOTE]"

There is a plate bolted under the main body that lets it bolt up like stock distributor, with adjustment being the same.

All, hopefully back on schedule this week. My crew and I have been pretty sick with the bug for a couple weeks now. Should get back on the progam this week and start shipping some more distributors...:eek:
Crabs , bells and conversions..........:)

Hey bubba. I have the chevy unit for my
8ba. It has a pertronix in it. I think I would like to go back to points. What kind of wireing changes need to be made to my car to do this swap? Just want to figure this out before I send it in to you. Thanks.

Give me some more info???

Is the chervolet unit with pertronix my unit ????
If so i have what i call a "emergency kit" with points and condensor and proper primary wiring in a zip lock bag i can send to you. You can then return the pertronix and wiring to us for a credit.
Not a problem.

Now that thats fixed i gotta know ( no matter whose unit it is) why do you want to change??? Does the car run ok now.........????
Feel free to call me -317-487-9460 Bubba ....

My "helmet" was sitting on my doorstep when we got home Friday evening. Can't wait to get it installed. We go ahead and send in another core and 2 shells so that we have good spare. Great job Bubba!
