Bttt ???

Over in the Swap Meet classified ads I've noticed a few people posting the question "What does BTTT (posted by the seller) mean?" I've responded with the following to try and shed some light and figured it might be good to add here also to make it easier for some new, and old, members when visiting the Swap Meet section of the Barn.

Back To The Top (BTTT) and Three Day Bump BTTT posts are following HAMB and now Ford Barn classified ad etiquette. Since the ads slide down the page as new ads are posted you are only supposed to move your ad "back to the top" of the page no sooner than three days since your're last post. By simply posting BTTT you are moving it to the top of the classified listing even though you have no new info to include in the ad.

Right you are, Grandadeo. While it hasn't been laid out as a firm rule on the Fordbarn, the guys have been doing a pretty good job of observing the HAMB practice.

The other part of the etiquette is NO POSTING ON THE AD ... other than the originator's bumps. Posting on the ad causes the ad to be bumped to the top which screws up the flow (and moves others down.)

If you have a question about the car/item, PM (personal message) the seller. If there's a problem with the ad, such as missing info, PM the seller and let him edit his ad.

Working pretty well. Thanks for tweaking.

Just noticed another Barner asking what "Bump" in a classified ad was all about. So I thought it was time to "Bump" this thread BTTT.
