recently aquired a bronze or copper breaker plate for a model a, i noticed a few differences in the points location and advance arm also a one piece cast onto the plate points contact mount would appreciate info as to what dates used and if they are good to use.

That would be for a 1928 distributor. Many of the forged plates were copper plated. My 9-27-28 is the same. Yes, they are good to use and I'm still using the points that came in it.

there is a set of points on plate that have a flat spring that doesn't have a loop at the end, could they be originals?

There should be a thin copper strap and a blued spring steel strap. Could the loop end have broken off?

thank you for the excellant pictures. I think you're right as the rest of the points look the same. will that plate work with all bkodies?

Yes, it will fit any Model A distributor body, but the correct body has a round indent above where the ignition cable screws in.

Due to the different location of the points a longer wire pigtail is required on the lower plate. Unfortunately I don't recall the length and no longer have my example. It is however very important to have it right.

I had modern points in my car so I already have a longer soft wire from the lower plate. thank you for response.

thank you for wire length, I'm pretty sure mine is o,k, for length as I previously lengthened it for modern points, knowing the right length I will make sure to check before I do assembley.
