Broken Piston Ring?

I may have a broken piston ring I'm thinking. What evidence will present itself if I do? Thanks in advance. Don

compression check, and look at each plug as you pull em, might tell which cylinder to check the most ?? be sure to prop the carb. wide open for comp check ?? a bad cylinder will read lower and look different inside .... OLD.....BILL
