Bringing It Home

On the way home to FL from Sparks, Ga. with the Merc. (1994). I bought it from Mr. Bill Alexander who (at the time) had a building full of old cars in Sparks, GA. Took it off the trailer and made a nightime trip once around the block. Then took it all apart. Haven't driven it since then, but that will soon change. Car weighed 3900 lbs. I think 200 pounds was bondo. But that's all fixed now.

I don't have pics taken years ago when my pickup rested half way down the hill to the garage. However I got as much thrill when the cab and bed left my garage for the paint shop. It always involves calling my local tow truck to get the pickup back up the hill to the road. Also lots of satisfaction when it came home again. The last photo shows the garage down the hill, with the no longer needed parts finally leaving and going to the body shop for scrap.
