Here's some that I pulled home over the years  I can't tell you what my wife said when I brought that very rough '36 pu home  Now the last one, the black '35 Fordor sedan, she really liked :). You win some, you loose some, and some get rained out.

We stopped at a rest area somewhere between Mississippi and West Virginia with Ol' Clyde on a trailer and he got some attention.

Delivered on a closed trailer but "butt ugly" bottomless rust bucket. 3 years later we are getting "close"

Raced home from work when I got the call that this had arrived an hour early...finally got to see what I`d bought from across the water...way better than anticipated.I managed to get a full nights sleep in weeks that night lol.

I was trying to tell my wife just yesterday about the feeling of dragging home an old car on a trailor . seeing the grill in the rearveiw mirror ,,knowing "ITS MINE ". The big smile that you get on your face ,,,YEA that kinda smile my older brother and I had the best time going to get cars . He past 5 years ago yesterday.I can still see his smile when we went out to Wisconsin to get a 39 coupe THANX

Hi bruce & mike, the 40 conv was in a field within 15 mile of where i live near new market,va. It had sat there since around 1962 with no frame. Top bows and trunk lid was in the barn for it. I have since gathered 2 more 40 convs in the same condition that sat outside since 1962. Those 2 were stripped out shell with the one frame laying on the ground to where a tree grew thru the frame at the steering brace. The good thing the other frame was restored and stored in the barn. Most of the other parts for these 2 convs where in another barn that burnt in 1969, so those parts were gone. As far as progess i have a nice sedan donor body and have gathered up parts for the last 10 years(nice doors and other usable parts) and now am ready to build it. I will post a picture of the other 2 convs. Thanks and good luck on all your projects!

Mike In Mass,
Reading this made the Thread all worthwhile. That is exactly the feeling I get! I have a son and a 14 year grandson just as much into it as I am.

Thank you for shaing!
