Brass Radiator emblem

There were no accessories for the Model T that were offered by Ford. Any accessory could be had from any of the many aftermarket supply houses.

I think Ford did offer some accessories such as a manifold heater. Dealers maybe added whatever it took to deliver a car.

The brass Ford script was standard on the very early T's. It went straight across about the center of the radiator. Around late 1925 you could add; mirror, windshield wiper and a combination brake/tail light that was sold as an approved add-on by Ford. Of course the Ruckstell was a Ford approved accessory (except for the above the only one). Starter/generator/demountable wheels were not considered standard equipment, they were sold at extra cost. Adding anything else could void your warranty. :)

The fins on my old brass original radiator on my 13 has the "shadow" of a Ford emblem that was removed long ago . My 14 has no evidence of ever having a Ford emblem although the original owner had made his own Hometown wire emblem .

People "restored" brass Model T's beginning in the mid 1930's. It was common to add the car's brand in script on the radiator then. Many enthusiasts want as much shiny brass on their Model T as possible. We call this disease "Brassitis".

Ford did not install a brass radiator script on any cars after about December 1910. But if you want brass radiator script it just takes a few mouse clicks and a credit card to get one sent to you from one of the reproduction part sellers.
