brass fan pulley

Has any one added bearings to the brass fan pulley. If so can you give me some suggestions as to the size of bearings used and the proper proceedure to install them. I have a friend with a lathe. Thanks Frank pkny

It's been done, old magazine article in Model T Times lists New Departure bearings #77R8 and / or Torrington B-88 for fan hubs. Not sure if these fit the brass hubs.

Since the early brass fan hub pulleys are found in rough shape, you can buy new ones already with permanent greased bearings installed. (Lang's Antique Auto Parts)
