brass-bodied "T"

In a recent Hemmings there was a picture of a "T" speedster skinned in brass with lots of rivets and I can't find it now. Does anyone know the story on that car?

Hi Jim,
Years ago one of the English car magazines ran a story of a brass bodied T speedster in the UK.
I can't remember how long ago it was or even which magazine it was. But I would love to see one!!

Well, no that's not the one, but it's at least as fascinating as the one I had in mind. Thanks for posting that pic.

There was a brass skinned speedster built for the MTFCI youth foundation in 2006. It was built by Paul Larson and some others and raffled off. It might be the one you are speaking of.

Doug is correct. I can't remember exactly who it was that won it but as I recall, they told me that they tried driving it up the road and they could not comfortably fit in it. A phone call was made to 'Speedy Bill' Smith and he is now the proud owner of it. I would say you may be able to find a picture of it in his collection.

Paul Larson's "Golden Eagle" speedster built for the MTFCI Youth Auction.

All brass bodied. Custom made disc wheels too.
