Brand for 8' ring & pinion gear set?

Am wondering if there is a noticeable difference between RICHMOND, MOTIVE and YUKON gear sets for the Ford 8'? The YUKON set is quite a bit more expensive than the other two; has anyone had experience with any of these gear sets? The driveline shop I'm using prefers the Yukon gears, they want around $300 for them; I can get the same gears for about $50 less online including shipping.
 
The sad thing here is that probably none of these companies actually produce 8" gear sets themselves, since the 8" isn't nearly as popular as a 9" or later eaton stuff. It seems like the last ones I used came from Richmond, but were actually made in Italy, they worked, even though my opinion of Italian car parts is not favorable. My guess is that today most is made in China or India and boxed for name brand companies
 
Craig, thanks for responding, as near as I can tell Motive is made in Italy & Richmond in India. Is India better than Italy?!
