Brake wedge pill orientation

Merry Christmas everyone. The kids are still asleep and I'm looking for something quiet to do. Just so I have it correct the first time; do the brake pills go in so their cupped shape goes down to match the cupped inner surface of the wedge and the round end of the operating pin (this is how I would think they would go) or opposite with the cup going up so there is the smallest possible surface area in contact with the bottom of the pin? I have read it stated both ways in various threads and do not want to have to fight to get one back out if I put it in wrong.

Thanks Larry

Put the pill in the wedge with the concave part up. I put a little dab of grease on the pill to hold it in position. Also a little dab of grease on the pin to lubricate.
