Brake shoe identification

A previous, unknown, owner converted my 1930 Tudor to hydraulic brakes. The linings are worn down and it is time to replace the shoes. The trouble is, I don't know whether they are 1939-41 or 1946-48.

Questions:

1. It is possible to tell from the attached photos which type they are?

2. Can anyone point me to instructions, preferably illustrated, for removing and replacing the shoes?

3. I have found brand new brake shoes with bonded lining from Sacramento Vintage Ford:

new

old

Are these the right items? Should I be looking at any other suppliers?

Thanks

Yes, 39-41.
If they were the later style, the bottom pivots would be showing a plate dropped over two pivot pins retained by two split pins.

Mart.

Yours are 39-42 The later style are 46-48 and have self-centering shoes. The front wheel cylinders were changed in 1942 to 1-3/8" forward pistons (from 4-1/4") but 1942 was still the "early" design with the adjustable lower shoe anchors to center the shoe linings in the drums... which were confusing to adjust back then, and continue to be today, because the instructions do not
explain WHY/WHAT is to be accomplished.
