Brake rod return springs

I want to install brake rod return springs on my '30 Roadster. I want to use the "spring" rather than the "flat" type. Does anyone have any pictures of the "spring" type when they are properly installed on the brake rods?
 
the springs holding the front rods mount//bolt in front of the mounting perch
and the rears mount//bolt behind the perch
in other words the springs get mounted on the side of the perch closest to the wheels
