Hey Guys and Gals,
In the process of restoring a '31 Vickie...just put on new cast iron hubs, turned, trued, etc. Plus new pads trued to hubs. Axles are on jack stands with all four wheels off ground.
When installing the brake rods, (same ones that came off of it, good shape) with new ends and oversize pins, the driver's side rear rod, to fit, will have to be at least 1/2" shorter than the other side. In fact it seems that I'll have to cut some of the threaded end off to make it work.
Rear radius rod is intact, but the engine is out at the shop.
Is that normal or is something out of whack? The car in general is in excellent shape...I'm mainly cleaning and repainting.
Any thoughts?
