BRAKE n SHAKE

I must have placed my q in the wrong place...
Can anyone give me a little advise here ?? I have a 31 barnfind ford 28 yrs modela ford . After a lotta gas tank and just, sittin too long problems i am happily driving and using this wounderful car .. My q is ,,, when i come to a stop ]and not everytime[ , but when i apply the brakes this car shakes soooooooooo bad right up through the steering when sometimes the brakes seem fine or maybe not ,,, do i have a steering or brake problem ,, thanks any help is appreciated.

sounds more like steering. start checking for play at the many joints in the steering system. Chock the rear tires, jack up the front end so the tires just clear then floor, (on level ground ) grab a front tire with your hands at 9 and 3 and start shaking back and forth. You are looking for lost motion
