Brake Line Question

Im debating stainless or standard 1/4 brake line for my 1934 5W. Car is an unchopped, fenderless highboy project. Stock Frame, 59A Flathead, 34 trands and rear. Brakes are 1940 Juice. I have the stock pedals and a master cyclinder kit from V8 Ford Garage so I can use juice brake but keep the stock appearance.

Is it worth it for SS? Thanks

NO!! Do you think that the standard tubeing is going to rust in your lifetime?

I think the standard stuff found at the auto parts store is gray teflon coated, not the bare steel, and you can bend it by hand.

Stainless is most likely harder to bend and flare. Will your car be out in winter salt and slush? If not, it's probably not worth the effort to plumb it in stainless. (I did use it on my Chebby coupe project, but I got prebent lines and they're impossible to replace without removing the body.)

I have always used a bender for every bend on my brake lines, the nice crisp bends are pleasing to my eye, I polish all of my SS lines with 0000 steel wool and a light olive oil. To me lines and hoses should always look better than factory ever could. I think a restoration or a hot rod is worthy of the good stuff, why let the street rodders have all the fun? Then again, I enjoy running fluid conduit systems.

i've always used the regular stuff and painted it afterwards, the stainless is too difficult to bend and flair for the price.

then again I don't like the shiney stuff......I paint the aluminum brackets/clamps anyways :).
