Has anyone attempted to remove the pin holding pedal shaft to bell housing in the truck? I dont want to have to pull transmission just to change the pedal shaft TIA

Not exactly a direct reply, but why do you want to remove the pedal shaft? That's not really a wear item. If your pedals flop around on the shaft then it's likely that the bushings in the pedals are worn, not the shaft. I'd check those first. Having said that, I have seen worn shafts, and that is a really simple and inexpensive part.

That shaft is a pretty tight fit into the housing, if I remember correctly, and needs to be driven in and out. It's not an easy slip fit. And also IIRC the pin holding it into the housing is peened over and needs to be ground smooth to drive it out. Much easier to do it on the ground or bench than in the car.

Yes it can be done, I have done it 3 times and have a power point showing what needs to be done that I made to present to our club, You can send me a PM and we can talk about it and I could send you the information.
