Topping off the fluids for startup and now I will have to eat Ramen noodles for the next few weeks.

Gear lube, oil/zinc additive, antifreeze/water wetter. Dang, and I thought the price of gas was bad:eek:
 
Could be worse. You could be burning the oil, leaving puddles of lube on the driveway, and a river of coolant behind you. Then you would be topping them everyday.
 
Petroleum products are crazy high, yet compared to say a new Licoln Navigator, you should still be dollars a head.
 
If it drips a little oil, I just tell them "it's sweating horse power". FHFD is correct in his analysis, I liked that one.

Hey, I love Ramen noodles. I usually have a bowl full at lunch time. Don't knock 'em. lol
 
Yes, it ain't cheap. And getting worse! I couldn't believe the best price I could find for ATF(not for my old Fords) was about $5 per quart. The trans filter and gasket kit was mighty cheap compared to the fluid!!
 
I have posted before, that this hobby/interest whatever it is for you is not for the faint of heart. I'm in Calif. bought anti-freeze, oil, Zddp $70, I was crying and I didn't even get the premixed anti-freeze which I think was more, I will say though I bought all good name brands.

Yeah, that Peak 50/50 pre-mix is 12.99, the Prestone was 14.99, I went with the store brand which is probably made by one of them for 10.99 ouch! Scott
