Body mounts

Hi, I'm new here.
I have a '27 Tudor Sedan and I'm setting things to do a temp put together. I have bought new body mounting blocks (6) for it, but it doesn't have anything for the mounts under the cowl. What is suppose to be used there?

Thanks, Pat

Hey there tincan, The cowl bolts strait to the frame, I suppose because of the solid mounting of the colum would always be off with the moveing of the blocks and throttle would be also moveing. Just my reasoning. Monte

Welcome TinCan,
There are body mounts (right and left) just in front of the hand brake quadrant, and it is rivited to the frame. Your body subframe should have a rivited bracket that mates to it. The firewall has a right and left bracket (part numbers T3640/41D) that are bolted to the frame. If you don't have one already, get a Mac's parts catalog. They provide a great visual description of most of the T parts for all years.
Good luck.

Monte, Thanks I didn't think of it that way.

t42, Thanks, I do have the brackets I didn't know if something went between the two parts since it does on the rest of them.
I just ordered the book from Mac's

I got two complete bodies, a '27 coupe & a '27 Tudor Sedan in one place, with currant titles & vin #'s for both, and the chassis else where, So I never saw them together. I still have to come up with a hood, and both running board brackets for the Tudor Sedan. Plus interior everything.

Tincan, Thats how most of my cars show up around here, in baskets. I currently have four out of about ten or so built, and always lookin for more. Monte

Is there any kind of rubber or felt in between, or is it metal to metal when I bolt it together, on the cowl mount.

Monte, I also sold a '27 Coupe body, I have spare '27 Coupe body thats taken apart at the seams, sold a complete '23-'25 chassis, sold 8 good doors and many other parts. and lost/stolen my bare '27 frame. And I still need a hood and running board brackets!
I can't belive that 3 years ago I past on a 100% oem complete '27 Roadster that had been in storage for around 60 years, for $1200.00

Darn Tincan, I don`t believe I could have passed that one up no matter what Mama said, I would have hide it for a while! lol I didn`t put any thing between the braces on my cowls but that don`t mean it`s right. Monte

HA ha, I didn't have to hide it from the wife, she was there. We had bought the Coupe I have now, and then just bought the Tudor thats hers, that I'm working on now, from a old guy we had met. We were there picking up the fenders, running boards, splash aprons, and other misc parts that day. He had barns full of cars & trucks, barns full of parts.

When my wife and I go to the salvage yard (Our fisrt date was to Windy Hill Auto parts) We would drive my '47 KB2 Internaional pick up 100 miles to Windy Hill auto, she would walk around and get some of her own parts, while I was getting parts for my '37 Chevy pick up.

I haven't worked on it for awhile, We had sold our house in Mn and moved to Tn. Now I'm back working on it.
