Body badge

My 36 5 window coupe (Australian) has a circular badge on the side just in front of the door that reads 'All steel body by Ford'.
Do the US cars have this?
I would like to know if it was polished, painted or what colour it should be.
Thanks
Robert

Robert, Here are some images of that medallion. From the ads it appears that the center portion was painted.....perhaps Ford Blue or Red. Unfortunately I don't have any color images.

Regards,
Don

Here is the Body Badge as fitted by Ford Australia to 1935 and 1936 Fords. They have a central bolt that is held in place with a nut. As you can see from the original unrestored 1936 Ford, they were painted Body Colour.
The same Badge was also used on Australian 1937 and 1938 Fords.

While this Post is on Ford Badges, I thought that I would add the one that is attached to Australian 1933 and 1934 Fords. These Badges are soldered on and are painted Body Colour. The Badge on this 1934 Ford has never been removed.

Here is the Badge that was fitted to Australian 1939 and 1940 Fords. For the first time, Black Enamel was added to make the Badges more attractive. This Badge is fitted to an original unrestored 1939 Ford Standard Ute.

The square 33-34 body badge shown in this thread on the original car ("never removed") is exactly the same as those soldered (sweated) onto the Australian assembled 30-31 Model A Fords. I have seen these on several original Australian "Improved" Model As and have one on my own 1930 roadster which I know was original. Can anyone out there confirm what the bodywork badge on the Aussie 32 Ford was like? I think it was a round one similar or possibly the same as that shown in this thread for the 35-38 Aussie Fords.
