I ran across a T shirt given me by our old friend Bob Shellady (Supereal). I treasured it, never wore it. What the hell, why not wear it and enjoy it? I will, at the next club meeting!
Bob's son Mike still runs MAS Automotive & Machining in Iowa City, but no longer offers the T shirt. (A 2020 version has been trademarked by Malibu Shirts.) The artwork was originally done for Giovannoni Cams, out of Daytona, circa 1958, appearing in that year's catalog. Re-done in a slightly different version to include the 1958 date. Giovannoni is apparently long since out of business. A revised version appeared as Speed Specialties in Pacific Palisades California, then the MAS version with the most memorable logo. That logo around the cam was pure Supereal!
