Blessing the vehicle

I am Catholic and in formation to become a Catholic deacon. It was important for me to have my vehicle blessed, so I had it done by a good friend who is a priest.
How do you tell one is a good friend? He had just flown back into town that day from Detroit and had brought me gifts back for my A from the Ford museum. Can't beat that.

Anyway, I used an app called 8mm to record it. The app allowed me to make it appear as if it were recorded in the 20s.

Apparently more modern, complex cars like a Prius need a more
complicated ritual to be properly blessed:

As a pastor, I've been asked to bless just about everything, but I have not yet thought of blessing my Model A... as a side I wonder if that would help me to stop breaking things on it :-)

Take a bunch of sage wrapped in twine, dry it in the microwave.

Place on a burn proof plate and light it with the lighter near the car. After a moment or two blow it out. It should continue to smoke. Blow the smoke throughout the car.
 
I always put a few drops of Holy Water in my radiator at the start of each motoring season. So far, so good.

I'm taking the cat to church next week for the annual blessing of the animals.
it never ocurred to me to have the Model As blessed, even though I drive one to church every week.

If something can go wrong with a model a, it's happened to me. And it's not the "debugging" of a new car. It's just continuous problems that are just strange and nobody else has problems with. I've always said it's haunted, and people in the model a club thought i was joking. They are all starting to believe me now.
 
In reality, I think there is more swearing @ a Model "A" or its parts, than the blessing of one !!...
 
In all reality, a blessing isn't so much for the object as it is
Asking God to be present with that person when using the object.
It never hurts to ask God to be your passenger.
Sometimes with that shifter causing me to be a contortionist,
I wish he would drive ;)
