Bizarre set of running boards- SOLID aluminum!

I bought a set of running boards at a swap meet this weekend and they are bizarre....they are for a model t , about 4 feet long. They say Ford and Made In Canada and have the diamonds . Now for the bizzare, they are made from SOLID aluminum, 3/4 inch thick! They must weigh 30 pounds each. Any body heard of this before?

Are they the same length as standard T parts?

From the description they might be for a fire truck.
