Big trucks with a 300 six

Anybody familiar with the 65 and up F450 and up trucks that are powered by a six and the info I need is how the motor is mounted, does it have a single front mount with two on the bellhousing or does it have side mounts like the light duty trucks. I am thinking about installing a 240 or 300 in my 37 Chevy p/u and if the big trucks have the single mount up front with the two mounts on the bellhousing I think I can put it in with minimal work.

I went to a junkyard that had some big trucks and the 300s do have the single front mount and two on the bellhousing, what was interesting is it looks like there is a adapter plate to use the FE bellhousings. The front mount bracket is way too big and probably could make my own but I think I could install a 54 to 56 truck 223 much easier,I want to keep a six in it but never had a good chevy motor and would like Ford power so I will figure something out.

Glad you found out how it was mounted. I was gonna respond that they were front mounted in big trucks but couldn't recall exactly. Been too many years. IMHO I think the 240/300 is a better engine all around. Torque monsters that last forever.
