Daves55 DON"T sell the truck!!!!!!!! Did that several years ago and missed it! You just don't know how handy having one of them is until it is gone. Retired in 93 from the Navy, moved to TN and left the truck in Va. Beach with the oldest daughter. Our move was in July, had a new (left over) 93 F150 in the drive way in September. Haven't been without one since!
Look at AL, where I finally settled, no tax on SS, low property taxes, not much "drama" with the politics here, just assume every one of them is a crook and a great break on property taxes once both of you hit 65 or one is disabled. Realestate is fairly low.
H R R I moved my self, tools and shop stuff went in the first trip to a storage shed, found a new place, house got sold, packed up all the house stuff and moved it to the new places shop to weather a hurricane for two days, closed and moved it all into the new plaqce. Not too hard if you sit down and figure out what hasn't been looked at. opened up or used in the last 5 years.
