BIG MIKES new Vehicle, then sum!

Nice! Can you tell us a little more about the 1963 Mk2 ferret scout car? Who used it, who developed it, what was it armed with, did it see active combat, ect....?

All Commonwealth Forces: British, Canadian, Aussie etc, it was developed by Daimler Benz in 1944, 1st Armoured cars came out was the Daimler Dingo then the Ferret Mk1 2 3 4 5 6, stoped using them up to the 1980's now its the mk1 fox scout car, saw action from ww2 up to present. it has a V6 Rolls royce engine.

I knew a guy that claimed he held the Canadian Armed Forces speed record for Ferret in Reverse, set on a runway on the old Lincoln Park base in Calgary. Apparently they have a pre-selector trans. and will run about as fast backward as forward. ..B.

Cuz its fully armoured plate and has a turrent!LOL just kidding I like restoring military vehicles either mine of friend of mine , I have 1 tank 1 amoured car 5 jeeps under my belt, now I getting a 1938 fordor ford this will be cool to restore as a pre ww2 staff car. ! Big Mike

Have you ever seen a Canadian Lynx armored car??? My understanding is that it is essentially about the same as a Dingo, small, maneuverable, meant to run like crazy in reverse, but built with flathead V8.

There is a bit of info and a few pictures near the bottom of this page:
